Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in a designated zone with a 60-mile radius coverage area. The role involves providing acute care in an emergency setting, with responsibilities including rapid assessment and stabilization of patients. The position requires flexibility to float between two zone locations and potentially to other sites within the zone depending on census needs. The assignment runs from September 14, 2026, to December 14, 2026, primarily during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); two years of clinical experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to cover two locations within the zone. Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into and may be asked to float to another location mid-shift, with paid travel time, or in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Sitter capacity if census is low.
  • Additional Information: Hiring process includes an interview with the organizations clinical team. Candidates must be in the state for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are remote. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts during this 13-week assignment or three shifts for shorter durations. The electronic charting system used is EPIC.
