Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician position located in the region. This role involves supporting surgical procedures in an acute care setting, with a focus on assisting with complicated and uncomplicated cesarean sections, cerviclage placement, dilation and curettage, and hysterectomy cases. The technician will work day shifts and participate in a rotating schedule, providing essential supporting functions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Work includes 2 Fridays and 4 weekend days (Saturdays and Sundays) each month.
• Required Qualifications: Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT); minimum of 2 years' experience in surgical techniques; valid driver's license outside 50 miles of the facility.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience completing complicated and uncomplicated cesarean sections; scrub experience; certification from NBSTSA preferred but not required.
• Additional Information:
  • Must require certification through NBSTSA.
  • Do not float to other units.
  • Hospital issued scrub uniform required.
  • Will be responsible for stocking patient rooms and processing surgical instrumentation when not in the operating room.
  • No call on weekends; weekday call required during shifts.
  • Use of the Electronic Patient Record (EHR) system for charting.
  • No trauma level designation specified.
  • Will be willing to wait for license to submit.
