Description
Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Location not specified. This role involves providing specialized critical care nursing in an acute care setting. The position requires nursing professionals able to work nights and float within a designated zone, ensuring patient-centered care in high-acuity environments.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, and at least 2 years of relevant ICU experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care and critical care settings; ability to float within zone 2 locations, including ICU, progressive care units, step-down units, and telemetry.
- Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers are expected to float throughout the zone to meet staffing needs, including into different acuity levels and capacities like CNA/Sitter roles if census is low.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be in state for the week of orientation, even if initial days are remote. The organization allows cancellation of up to 4 shifts in a 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments. The charting system used is EPIC.
