Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse - Night Shift - Location in an emergency department setting. This role involves providing urgent care in a fast-paced environment, performing a variety of clinical procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position starts on 09/14/2026 and concludes on 10/26/2026, with scheduled hours primarily during the overnight shift.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nightshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); experience working in an emergency room environment; open to all qualified candidates with at least 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TNCC, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), and EKG interpretation.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing IV insertions, Foley catheter placements, NG tube insertions, and assisting providers with diverse ED procedures. The unit is equipped with Pyxis medication dispensing systems, GE monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn, and Dynamap vital signs machines. The environment is supported by Meditech electronic medical records. The department is a newly built facility with state-of-the-art equipment, offering opportunities to learn new skills such as operating bipap and ventilator devices, and conducting point-of-care labs. The team is in the process of being fully staffed, and there are frequent admissions from Fast Track Emergency Department (FSED). Shifts include work every other weekend, with a total of four weekend shifts per month, two of which are consecutive.
