Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor nurse position located in Fargo. This role involves providing patient care on a 32-bed unit, with the flexibility to float to other medical/surgical units across multiple Sanford Medical Centers. Candidates will work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with schedules potentially rotating between day and night shifts based on unit needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and holiday, with flexible rotation between days and nights depending on unit requirements.
- Required Qualifications: Active North Dakota (ND) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (willing to obtain), BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), NIHSS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start; minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical (MS) experience in a large hospital setting. Experience with electronic medical records (Epic), Omnicell medication dispensing system, and Alaris intravenous (IV) pumps.
- Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience, preferred but not required.
- Float: Float to all units/locations within the Fargo medical centers as needed per job request.
- Additional Information:
- Must have experience within a large hospital setting, with 250+ beds.
- Types of procedures include assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration.
- Equipment utilized in the unit includes Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps.
- Scrub color is navy blue.
- Candidates must badge in and out at the facility.
- Bed size for the primary unit is 32 beds, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 on day shift and 5-6:1 on night shift.
- Candidates must note if they have ever worked for the organization; previous employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
- No specific minimum experience beyond latest 2 years in MS nursing; new graduates are not eligible.
- End date for assignment is scheduled for 12/14/2026, with a start date of 09/14/2026.
