Description
Job Summary:
The ORT (Operating Room Technician) and Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician position is located within a large healthcare facility. This role involves assisting with surgical procedures in a high-volume hospital environment, primarily focusing on cardiovascular, thoracic, and robotic surgeries. The position requires a dedicated professional to support the surgical team during complex cases, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, with stay-late hours as needed to support scheduled cases. Shifts include 1 to 2 per week and every 4th or 5th weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including BLS (American Heart Association), Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) registration with proof of application within 3 business days of acceptance, and a minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular operating room experience. Experience working in large hospitals (250+ beds) and level 2 or higher facilities is necessary.

- Float: Float rotation may be required to other units or operating rooms when volumes are slow.
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with open heart procedures, thoracic surgeries, robotic surgeries, and vascular procedures. The clinician must badge in and out at the facility and wear designated scrubs (Ceil Blue). Candidates must note if they have previously worked for the healthcare provider, with prior employment ending at least six months before the submission date. The placement is for a period from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026, supporting scheduled surgical cases and extending shifts as necessary.
