Job Summary
Critical Care Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) This position is based in the ICU of a healthcare facility. The role involves providing safe, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill patients, following evidence-based practices and organizational standards. Candidates will work during night shifts and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and safety.
Job Details
- Schedule: 11.5-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS, ACLS certifications. Minimum of 2 years of critical care/telemetry experience. At least 2 years of RN experience. 1 year of travel experience for travel positions, not required for Per Diem roles. EPIC experience highly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience or active BSN program enrollment.
- Additional Information: The role involves performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supplies and staffing, documenting patient care accurately, facilitating patient throughput, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and contributing to a positive clinical environment. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate high reliability principles, critical thinking skills, and effective communication within a fast-paced ICU setting.
