Job Summary
The facility is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. The RN will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients on a telemetry unit, interpreting tele strips, and managing cardiac drips. This role requires the ability to read telemetry strips and support patients with cardiac conditions such as CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, and Pneumonia in a 37-bed medical telemetry environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active MA RN License, AHA BLS certification, Telemetry Certification, minimum of 2 years working in one location and 2 years as a Traveler
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac drips and interpreting Tele Strips; nursing care for post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patients is advantageous but not mandatory
- Float: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed
- Clinical Responsibilities: Care for patients admitted with diagnoses such as CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, and Pneumonia; managing patients on Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Heparin drips; providing post-procedure care for cardiac interventions
- Patient Ratio: Night shift RN to patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Bed Count: 37 beds, including private, semi-private, quadruple, triple rooms, and a negative pressure room
- Census: 37 patients
- EMR: EPIC
- Start Date: 09/20/2026
- End Date: 12/19/2026
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an RN with at least 2 years at a single location and 2 years as a Traveler
- Certification Verification: License and professional certifications must be verified through appropriate documentation
