Description
Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position located in a cardiovascular care setting. The role involves providing care to patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures and managing various rhythm issues, post-catheterization, and short-stay cardiac patients. The nurse will care for both acute and observational patients, handling intravenous drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, and nitroglycerin, among other treatments, within a fast-paced medical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 09/08/2026 to 12/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN); current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a cardiac step down or related unit; location requirement: candidates must be authorized to work in the specified location.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are a plus.
- Additional Information: The role requires caring for patients with various cardiac conditions including myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, and rhythm disturbances. Nurses will manage drips including amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, and nitroglycerin, and provide care for post-cath lab patients on both sides of the unit.
