Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) rotating shift begins 09/14/2026. This position involves working on a 32-bed surgical unit with a focus on post-surgical patients, including vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery cases. The role requires clinical expertise in managing complex surgical patients and adherence to unit protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, surgical experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery, with proficiency in chest tubes, tubes, drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone; lines, tubes, drains for post-surgical patients; trachs/laryngectomies; telemetry; complex wounds; central lines care and blood draws; experience in a similar surgical setting; one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, sepsis, and full scope post-surgical care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit shares patient care responsibilities with a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4:1 during the day and 5:1 at night, and LNA ratios of 1:7-11. On-call duty is required.
