Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, L&D Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves providing specialized care for expectant mothers and their newborns in a Level 2 maternal/neonatal center. The position requires a focus on antepartum, MB, newborn, OB/GYN, and NICU patient care, along with adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM, STABLE, ACLS (American Heart Association) are required.
- Education and Experience: 24 months of current Labor and Delivery (LD) experience, with NICU, postpartum, or nursery experience considered a plus.
- License: Must hold an active Iowa or multistate (compact) nursing license at the time of submission.
- Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration (glucose, magnesium, Pitocin, insulin), and electronic fetal monitoring using EPIC EMR.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Orientation sessions are scheduled for 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, and 11/16.
- Additional skills: Competency in fetal monitoring and STABLE certification are required.
- Submission details: Active drivers license and professional references within 24 months are preferred.
