Description

Job Summary:

Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse in North Charleston, SC. This position involves providing advanced critical care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in a busy ICU setting. The role requires adaptability to a dynamic environment, ensuring high-quality patient care during night shifts. The assignment is suitable for nurses with foundational ICU experience interested in specializing further in cardiovascular care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications; 36 months of RN experience with at least one year in an ICU setting; preferred experience in neuro or cardiovascular ICU; ability to care for 1-3 ICU patients on ventilators; proficient in reading telemetry strips; prior experience with Meditech documentation; relevant certifications such as TNCC preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree and advanced certifications; experience with CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, EVDs, Bolts, and Artic Sun for induced hypothermia.
  • Additional Information: Ability to float to emergency department or other ICU units as needed; bedside shift reports required; opportunity for training in neuro and cardiovascular ICU procedures; skills in managing patients with head and neck flap procedures preferred.
