Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a nights shift position. This outpatient role involves providing specialized care within a 36-bed ICU, including neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical units. The role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to varying acuity levels within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Nursing License, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, EPIC Charting experience, at least 2 years of ICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro, cardiac, or medical-surgical intensive care units
• Float: As needed
• Additional Information:
  • Start date is 08/30/2026, with a scheduled orientation on Wednesdays and Thursdays, including 6 hours of paid orientation before the shift begins
  • The assignment includes responsibilities in a 36-bed ICU divided into neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical units with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 2-3 depending on acuity
  • Submission requirements include an updated resume, completed skills checklist within the past 12 months, and a recent reference.
  • No on-call or holiday requirements are specified.
