Description
Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in the Labor And Delivery Department is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires clinical expertise in maternal and neonatal care, with a focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child throughout the childbirth process.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program; New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License; Primary Source Verification of License and Registration from NYS Department of Education; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS); AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; two (2) years of Maternal and Child experience; two (2) years of IV Insertion and Phlebotomy experience; two (2) years of Conscious Sedation experience
- Preferred Qualifications: N/A
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves delivering clinical care for mothers and newborns during labor, managing fetal monitoring, administering medications, and responding to emergencies with critical procedures and protocols, including SOPs and compliance with the AHA guidelines. The assignment runs from 09/09/2026 to 12/12/2026.
