Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring patient safety during the immediate post-operative period. The nurse will be responsible for patient assessment, documentation, and coordination of care to support smooth postoperative recovery.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid and active nursing license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing; 2-3 years of minimum relevant experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
• Additional Information: This position requires passing a pass/fail electrocardiogram (ECG)/telemetry test and medication test via Zoom prior to assignment, with testing to be completed within 48 hours of confirmation. No re-sit opportunities are available; preparation using the provided study guide is recommended. The candidate must not reside within 50 miles of the facility. Biweekly orientation sessions will be scheduled. Candidates who have recently worked for the organization as permanent or per diem employees within the last six months must wait six months before applying.
