Emergency Room Nurse Houston, TX. This role involves providing specialized emergency nursing care in a busy emergency department. Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS; Active Nursing license in the state; Minimum of 0 years of experience in emergency nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a high-volume emergency department; trauma care experience; excellent communication and active interpersonal skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 28 beds with a staffing ratio of 4:1 patients per nurse. Typical procedures performed include IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs. The team consists of charge RNs, techs, and a unit secretary. The work environment emphasizes active, personable personalities and adherence to unit policies, including weekend shifts and possible on-call duties.
