Description
Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) needed in a daytime shift location for a temporary assignment. This role involves providing pre and post-operative recovery care within a 34-bed unit that services various specialties, including gynecology, orthopedics, plastics, vascular, cardiology, and general surgery. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment supporting patient recovery processes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Shifts vary with start times ranging from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred. Candidate must hold current licensure appropriate for the state. Prior experience in a post-anesthesia or recovery unit is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a 34-bed recovery area serving multiple surgical specialties.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients during phase one recovery with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. No on-call or weekend requirements are associated with this position.
