Description
Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the Birmingham area. This role involves providing specialized recovery care to patients emerging from anesthesia, managing patient stability, and ensuring smooth perioperative transitions. The position supports a team-focused environment within a busy PACU setting, requiring excellent clinical skills and patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, PALS certification, 2-3 years of recent PACU experience, located within Alabama, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: PACU experience is required. The unit cares for ortho, neuro, general, and pediatric patients, with patient ratios of 2:1. Candidate should be a team player, passionate, and professional. The dress code is navy scrubs.
