Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available on the day shift at a healthcare facility located in the Birmingham area. The role involves providing specialized post-operative recovery care for a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, neurological, general, and pediatric patients. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded medical center known for its comprehensive stroke and cardiovascular programs.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); 2 years of experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or similar setting; location in Birmingham, Alabama
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in critical care settings, particularly with orthopedic, neuro, general, and pediatric patient care
- Additional Information: PACU experience is required. The unit has 24 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. The team seeks team players who are passionate and professional. The dress code is scrub attire in navy color. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, recovery care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal post-operative outcomes.
