Job Summary:
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in Reno, NV. This role involves providing technical patient care in a fast-paced, Level II trauma center environment. The technician will be responsible for supporting surgical procedures by maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons under supervision. The position requires adaptability to dynamic medical procedures and equipment, with a focus on ensuring optimal surgical outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday as per department needs, with minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association standards is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in operating rooms or trauma settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in high-volume trauma centers, knowledge of surgical instrumentation, and ability to float to different departments within the organization.
• Additional Information: The role may require working major holidays and picking up additional shifts during the schedule period. The facility serves an extensive catchment area and handles complex trauma cases, demanding high adaptability and technical skill from staff. Flexibility for flexible hours, overtime, and work on weekends or holidays is expected.
