Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Aurora, Colorado. This travel opportunity involves providing specialized patient care in a busy, Level II Trauma Center ICU that handles a diverse patient population, including post-operative open-heart surgery and ECMO cases. The role offers an immersive experience working with advanced medical equipment and a collaborative nursing team.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold active BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications, possess a minimum of 1-year of current acute care ICU hospital experience, and be eligible to work in the specified location.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Meditech electronic medical record system, CVICU/CTICU care expertise, and post-operative open-heart surgery patient care experience are highly preferred.
Unit Details: The ICU consists of 38 beds, functioning as a Level II Trauma Center with a mixture of medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical patients. The unit is equipped with advanced devices such as Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II, Impella, ECMO Maquet Cardiohelp, Medtronic Vital Flow; and NICOM monitoring.
Additional Information: The team is composed of approximately 125 staff members working day and night shifts. The patient-to-nurse ratios vary from 2:1 to 1:1 depending on patient acuity. The unit maintains a friendly, team-oriented environment, and the location offers proximity to outdoor recreation such as mountain slopes and hikes.
