Description
Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for newborns requiring specialized intensive care. The RN will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational standards and professional nursing practice.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or a compact RN license, with BLS certification. No minimum years of experience required, but experience in neonatal intensive care is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Professional certification related to neonatal care is also a plus.
- Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for assessing neonatal patients, formulating and implementing individualized care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, and documenting patient care activities accurately. The role may involve working with critical neonatal equipment and providing support to families during stressful situations. The candidate should be comfortable providing emotional support and communicating effectively with families and team members.
