Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with varied medical conditions, both acute and chronic. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills across a broad spectrum of medical issues while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Colorado Registered Nurse license, minimum of 1-year current acute care PCU experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior Meditech EMR experience, Chemo Certification (or ability to schedule on Oncology unit).
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit has approximately 345 beds, with a diverse patient population including large cardiac cases, telemetry, and progressive care patients. Staff includes RN and CNA personnel working primarily days and nights, with a float pool of about 80 staff members. The environment emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and compassion, offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth and skill diversification.
