Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse is sought in a healthcare facility situated in a medical setting that combines ICU and MedSurg patient care. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for critically ill patients with a variety of diagnoses, including sepsis, respiratory failure, and cardiac arrhythmias, among others. The role requires managing complex cases, interpreting telemonitor data, and titrating multiple medication drips.

Job Details

• Position Description: This is a mixed ICU/MedSurg unit with patient ratios of 1:2 in ICU and 1:4-5 in MedSurg, supporting patients with diagnoses such as DKA, sepsis/shock, ETOH withdrawal, and post-cath/pacer care.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications, at least 2 years of ICU experience, current licensure to practice as a registered nurse, and the ability to interpret telemonitor strips and manage set-rate drips, including vasopressors and sedations.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift work includes every other weekend and rotating holidays.
• Additional Information: ICU nurses will provide support with ventriculostomy, multimodal sedation, vasopressor management, vent management with respiratory therapy support, and sepsis protocols. Orientation consists of 1-2 days of department-specific training.
• Certifications: Must possess BLS and ACLS.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
