Description
Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) role based at the healthcare facility. This position involves joining a dedicated team for an assignment lasting approximately three months, starting in September 2026. The technician will be responsible for sterilization, processing, and maintaining surgical instruments in accordance with hospital standards and safety protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Certification from CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, NBSTSA, or CSPDT; at least 1 year of experience; no specific location requirement; minimum of 1 year of related experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and Robotics procedures; familiarity with AORN, sterilization wrapping procedures, and various sterilization equipment.
- Float: Float rotation is not required for this position.
- Additional Information: The role requires rotating through weekend coverage, with candidates expected to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). RTO requests are approved on an individual basis upon offer and must be included during application submission. Candidates should be prepared to work in a magnet facility with Level II trauma designation, utilizing electronic charting systems and following strict sterilization and processing procedures. References covering one year are required, and candidates should be able to commit to the specified schedule and assignment duration.
