Job Summary
Orthopedic Medical Surgical Nurse (MS Ortho) Dallas, TX. This position involves providing specialized care on a post-surgical unit dedicated to orthopedic patients. The role requires a dynamic, team-oriented professional capable of working night shifts and managing a high patient volume, with a focus on orthopedic procedures such as joint reconstruction, spine surgery, and limb surgeries.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS certification, BLS certification, at least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical settings, experience handling orthopedic patients preferred, and authorization to work in the specified location
- Preferred Qualifications: Ortho experience and PCU background
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the healthcare provider's facilities, occasionally to another nearby facility
- Additional Information: The unit is equipped with PCA pumps, ice machines, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, Teleboxes, IV pumps, and uses Meditech electronic health records. Candidates should demonstrate energetic teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
