Description
Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in a highly regarded acute care hospital setting located in an unspecified location. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult patients in cardiac telemetry units, with a focus on managing high-risk cardiac cases, post-operative open heart patients, sheath pulls, and tracheostomy management. The schedule consists of night shifts, specifically 12-hour nights, with a commitment of 36-48 hours per week, and includes responsibilities such as cardiac drip management, sheath removal, and central line care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license in applicable state, ACLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification), BLS, two years of telemetry nursing experience, and high-risk cardiology experience including post-op open heart, sheath pulls, and tracheostomy management.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with management of cardiac drips and external devices, use of electronic charting system, and acute care hospital experience.
- Float: Float within scope to meet facility needs may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during nights and weekends.
- Open to accommodating a block schedule but local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 orientation hours.
- Travel within service line is required for floating.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, post-Central Cardiac Line (CCL) devices, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
- The assignment begins on 09/21/2026, with a scheduled end date of 12/21/2026, indicating a duration of approximately three months.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS are required at the time of start, with ACLS mandatory for certain hospital locations.
- License: Out-of-state candidates must have a license in hand or meet compact licensing requirements.
- RTO (Request for Time Off): A maximum of 7 days of approved time off (RTO); no additional RTO requests allowed post submission or start.
- Additional Conditions: Must complete required labs within 48-72 hours of signing and modules within specified timelines. No local candidates within a 75-mile radius; all travelers must float within service lines.
