Job Summary:
Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology Floor at a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to adult oncology patients, administering chemotherapy, and supporting patients through various treatments. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic oncology team, delivering compassionate care in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
Job Details:
- Position: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Days, from 08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active MD or Compact RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), Chemo certification (ONC/ONS/ONCC), minimum 0 years of experience
- Certifications: CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required, BLS, Chemo (ONC/ONS/ONCC)
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, experience managing ports and blood products
- Responsibilities: Administration of chemotherapy, blood transfusions, port management, patient education, and support for oncology patients with diverse diagnoses including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
- Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope and adhering to unit protocols; compliance with vaccine requirements is mandated, with flu vaccine required and no exemptions allowed; travel experience preferred but not mandatory.
