Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU NEURO) nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, post-surgical neuro patients, and others requiring detailed neuro checks. The position requires adherence to established protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS certifications, at least 2 years of ICU neuro experience; hospital-based neuro ICU experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS certification, trauma level I or II experience, Neuro ICU experience, Epic electronic charting system experience.
• Float: May float to Emergency Department, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 24-bed ICU split between two wings, supporting patients with complex neuro and trauma needs. The team collaborates closely to manage rapid patient turnover, employing specialized equipment such as ICP monitoring and EVD management. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing arterial lines, neuro assessments, and ventilator management.
