Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in a healthcare facility. The RN will provide patient care focusing on cardiac monitoring, post-operative open heart care, and pre- and post-procedure assessments. The role involves assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria, with responsibilities also including supervision of non-licensed staff.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Ohio/OH or Compact Registered Nurse license, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, post-operative open heart care experience, critical care experience, chest tube and drain management experience, pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access, proficiency in cardiac monitoring, and experience with procedures and equipment such as chest tube removal, pericardial pacing wires, temporary pacer management, and oxygen delivery systems. The candidate must also be willing to float to all units within skill level.

• Additional Information: Candidates should be adaptable to the facility's clinical interview process, which includes outreach within two hours via phone and text, with decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day.
