Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Cardiac Floor Nurse Fargo, ND. This 32-bed unit requires a Registered Nurse with at least two years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large hospital setting. The role involves assessing patients, documentation, medication administration, and utilizing equipment such as Epic electronic medical records and Alaris IV pumps. The position offers rotating 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday, with float coverage across various units within the facility.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday. Rotation may include day, night, or a combination; schedules are depending on unit needs, with self-scheduling possible.
  • Required Qualifications: Active ND or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license (willing to obtain), BLS (American Heart Association) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience in a large hospital setting, at least 250 beds experience preferred, and experience with Epic electronic medical records and Alaris IV pumps.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience.
  • Float: Float to all units/departments within the hospital as needed.
  • Additional Information: The primary unit is 6CD, a 32-bed medical-surgical unit. Nurse to patient ratio is 4-5:1 on days and 5-6:1 on nights. Due to the nature of rotating schedules, flexibility is necessary. Travel within 60 to 80 miles from the facility is required; local candidates within 80 miles will have a reduced client rate. Candidates with previous employment at the organization must have an end date at least six months prior to submission.
