Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nursing position located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing patient care on a unit with 36 beds and a staff of 32, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, techs, and secretaries. The unit utilizes telemetry and other advanced equipment, with patient ratios of 6 to 1, and requires the ability to manage complex clinical procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); candidates must have completed Med Surg (Medical Surgical) and Telemetry (Tele) experience and have proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong time management and critical thinking skills
- Float: Float rotation may be required, covering all Medical Surgical and Telemetry floors
- Additional Information:
- Must be at least 50 miles from the facility's location
- Typical procedures performed include heart caths
- Dress code involves wearing scrubs in ceil blue
- Unit policies and guidelines can be attached upon request
- Weekend work and on-call shifts are every other weekend or two full weekends per month
- Position start date is 09/21/2026, with an end date of 12/21/2026
