Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Greenville, North Carolina. This position involves providing specialized care to telemetry patients within the organizations medical unit. The role focuses on monitoring and managing adult and geriatric patients, ensuring they receive safe and effective care during their hospital stay.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, at least 2 years of recent relevant experience, and candidates must be within an 80-mile radius of the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience, ability to pass dysrhythmia and basic math assessments during onboarding, and familiarity with common equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, bladder scanners, and glucometers.
  • Responsibilities: Monitoring telemetry patients, interpreting cardiac rhythms, administering medications including IVF, metoprolol, hydralazine, atorvastatin, enoxaparin, heparin, Lasix, insulin, potassium chloride, and oxycodone, and utilizing EPIC electronic health record systems.
  • Certifications: Must hold and maintain appropriate nursing certifications.
  • Additional Information: The unit has 25 adult and geriatric beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5. The unit covers a range of medications and patient care needs, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. Scrubs are required to be black or white.
  • Shift Timing: 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM, with shift start times at 6:45 PM.
