Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse located in South Austin. This contract position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy ER setting for a 13-week shift schedule. The role requires clinical expertise in trauma and emergency procedures, with a focus on patient safety and efficient care delivery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment begins on 09/14/2026 and concludes on 12/14/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 1 year of relevant emergency nursing experience, certifications including ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS. Candidates must have Meditech EMR experience and trauma experience. CPI certification is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma and inpatient care is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The unit comprises 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, and 9 fast-track beds, with a staffing team specializing in emergency services. Responsibilities include splinting, EKGs, trauma assists, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, and resuscitation. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking, team collaboration, and self-starting abilities.
