Description
Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a regional advanced cardiac hospital operating on night shifts. The role involves providing comprehensive emergency care to adult and pediatric patients with high-acuity conditions, including stroke, STEMI, trauma, resuscitation, and other urgent cases. The ER Nurse is expected to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications required; RN license in the state of Texas or in a compact state.
- Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in emergency nursing or a related specialty.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend a hospital-specific orientation within the first 30 days of hire, including initial onboarding and competency validation in the emergency department setting. New hires are precepted by trained staff, with competency completion tracked through designated software. All annual competency verification requirements must be fulfilled.
