Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse - Nights - Medical City Plano. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients within a 30-bed oncology unit. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient needs are met efficiently and compassionately during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess BLS certification. No prior minimum years of experience required. Location requirements and specific educational qualifications are not specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with skills in IV insertion and chemotherapy are preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit is a surgical oncology inpatient setting with approximately 48 staff members, including nurses, patient care technicians, and health unit coordinators. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:5 to 1:6. Typical procedures include medication administration, chest tube management, NGT management, and Foley catheter management. The unit follows specific policies and guidelines, and adherence to attendance policies is required. The assignment runs from 08/24/2026 to 11/23/2026.
