Description

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse specializing in Breast Oncology will be assigned to an ambulatory oncology setting. This position involves delivering high-quality patient care through responsibilities such as rooming patients, obtaining and documenting medical histories, conducting nursing assessments, reviewing medications, coordinating patient care, and providing education and support throughout treatment. The role is based in a facility that utilizes Epic electronic health record systems and is ideal for a professional with ambulatory oncology experience, especially in breast oncology.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; oncology experience; proficiency with Epic electronic health record system; experience with IV/PAC access and injections; Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent; valid nursing license; ability to support high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting; location in Houston, TX
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ambulatory oncology and breast oncology; familiarity with nursing assessments, medication review, patient education, and care coordination; prior experience in outpatient oncology settings
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: Candidates will be responsible for rooming patients, obtaining and documenting medical histories, completing nursing assessments, reviewing medications, coordinating patient care, and providing education and support throughout treatment. This assignment is scheduled to start on 09/15/2026 and end on 12/31/2026.
