Description

Job Summary:
L&D (Labor and Delivery) specialty position in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care in a hospital unit dedicated to high-risk obstetric patients and newborns. The selected candidate will work in a facility recognized for excellence and safety, supporting maternal and neonatal health through comprehensive clinical services.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid NRP (Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; minimum 2 years of labor and delivery (L&D) experience, including high-risk cases; high school diploma or equivalent; work location in Asheville, NC; no minimum experience requirement specified but candidates with L&D experience favored
Preferred Qualifications: Circulating experience in L&D units
Additional Information: Candidates must have L&D experience for at least 2+ years. The role involves immediate newborn care, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, cerclage, and C-Hyst procedures. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable. Dress code is scrub attire provided by the facility. This is a contractor replacement position, with availability upon approval. No weekend or on-call requirement unless approved.
