Description
Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician for a healthcare organization in an inpatient setting. This role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for operative and invasive procedures. The technician maintains the sterile field, assists during surgeries, cleans and prepares instruments for decontamination, and participates in room turnover activities to ensure a smooth workflow.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program; BLS certification; 0 years of experience; located in the assignment area.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified surgical technologist (CST); CRASE training (if assignment extends beyond 6 months).
- Additional Information: Assist with the sterile setup for surgical procedures, maintain the sterile field, and ensure infection control standards are followed. Support the surgical team by providing instruments and supplies during operations and assist in post-procedure room cleanup. Participate in educational activities and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
