Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Concord, North Carolina. This position involves providing acute care in a Level III Trauma Center with a diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, cardiac, respiratory, GI, and infectious diseases. The ER Nurse will collaborate with support staff and utilize advanced technology to deliver high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, Shift times from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid license in the state, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute); 2 years of direct Emergency Department experience in a resource team setting; Location requirements: candidates permanent address must be at least 50 miles outside of the home facility; ability to float within designated regions as needed.
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
  • Support within the Department: Varying CNA ratios, 24/7 support from charge nurses, hospitalists, ER physicians, and support teams including RTs and receptionists.
  • Technology/Equipment: EMR system: EPIC, IV Pump: Alaris, Med dispensing: Omnicell, Monitors: Phillips.
  • Float: Floating to various facilities within the region may be required, including Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and other designated facilities. Floating mid-shift will be compensated for travel time.
  • Orientation: Two days of departmental orientation provided.
  • Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
  • RTO (Remainder To Off): Up to 6 days off can be approved, excluding holidays; additional time may be added to the end of the contract if needed to meet hours.
  • Other notes: Scrub color to be Navy; free parking provided.
