Description
Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician for a short-term acute care facility located in the region. This role involves providing sterilization and processing services using washer-sterilizers and handling case carts for various surgical procedures. The position requires adherence to sterilization procedures and documentation standards to ensure patient safety and compliance.
Job Details
- Certifications and Education Requirements: CBSPD or CRCST certification required; minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
- Schedule: 8-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: One or more years of experience in sterile processing in an acute hospital setting; certification from CBSPD or CRCST; ability to work nights; no local residency restrictions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-level disinfection, sterilization wrapping procedures, and sterilizer use; familiarity with EPIC or similar charting systems; background in sterile processing for diverse surgical specialties.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared for a contract duration from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026, with flexibility to work holidays as specified. Travel and float requirements may apply, and references covering the last 3 years are required.
