Job Summary:
Preoperative Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility setting. The role involves providing preoperative nursing care, preparing patients for surgery, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols. The position supports a dynamic team and requires flexibility to meet the needs of the surgical schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts; variable 8-hour day shifts between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with start times ranging from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Minimum of 32 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). An associate degree in nursing or nursing certificate, with at least 2+ years of experience in Pre/Post Operation is preferred, but the minimum experience requirement is 0 years.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous Pre/Post Op experience, strong communication skills, and flexibility. Candidates should be team-oriented, dependable, resilient, and adaptable to change.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other facilities including Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Medford locations.
• Additional Information:
  • Contract duration of 13 weeks with a start date of 09/08/2026 and end date of 12/05/2026.
  • On-call coverage required seven days during the contract, including weekends, with a one-hour response time.
  • Rotating weekend and holiday shifts every 6th weekend, including holiday rotation.
  • Scrub colors to be provided.
  • During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per policy.
  • Travelers may be scheduled for low census unbillable hours, which will count towards on-call hours.
