Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a regional community hospital located in Danville, Virginia. This role requires a minimum of five years of experience in the Emergency Department, with consideration given to candidates possessing ICU experience as well. The position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population across all ages, with a focus on patient-centered, compassionate service.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC); at least 5 years of experience in the Emergency Department; valid license and eligibility to work in the region.
• Preferred Qualifications: Extensive ER experience; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The facility has 31 beds and 2 triage rooms, serving patients of all ages, including behavioral health and acute patients. Patient ratios are approximately 1:4, with flexibility during high-volume days or transports. The environment uses primarily MedHost (ER) and Meditech electronic health record systems. The position requires consent for random drug screening and completion of a criminal questionnaire/consent form prior to start.
