Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) specialty position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing care for women during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The position requires a dedicated professional to support obstetric patients, perform necessary procedures, and ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and infants.

Job Details:

Certifications: BLS, NRN
Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: 0+ years of experience, current licensure in good standing, relevant certifications, and valid state license (compact license preferred)
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of relevant experience in a labor and delivery setting; experience with postpartum and obstetric patient care; proficiency in postpartum assessments, fetal monitoring, labor support, and neonatal care; ability to perform and assist with obstetric procedures
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, transition nursery, and neonatal assessments; familiarity with electronic medical records such as Epic; experience in a high-volume obstetric unit
Additional Information: The position may require floating to affiliated units such as NICU or L&D depending on staffing needs. Candidates must be flexible to work during holidays and weekends as per scheduling requirements. References covering at least 6 months within the last 3 years are required. Candidates must respond to screening questions and have a valid license in hand at the time of submission.
