Description

Job Summary:
A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse is needed in a hospital setting. The role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of handling a dynamic and sensitive environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), 2 years of experience in specialized neonatal or pediatric units, familiarity with electronic charting systems, and experience working with community hospital settings
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neonatal or pediatric intensive care units, additional certifications related to neonatal care, and travel experience in healthcare settings
  • Additional Information: The role involves working on a 30-bed unit with a mix of adult neuro patients including stroke and other neuro-related diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with daily census around 29 patients. Responsibilities include managing various specialized procedures and equipment, such as port access, ventilators, and wound care.
