Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in 09/07/2026. The RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, supervising clinical staff, and coordinating patient assessments and education. The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to hospital policies, with a focus on ensuring positive health outcomes and smooth patient flow throughout the assignment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS Certification required prior to first shift, ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only), a minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience (preferably one year of ICU experience), and experience in progressive care or similar settings.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a similar clinical environment, certification in advanced cardiac life support.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Performs comprehensive patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, develops and updates individualized care plans, participates in multidisciplinary team conferences, initiates discharge planning and patient education, and ensures continuity of care and patient safety. Delegates tasks to ancillary staff, maintains effective communication, and documents all clinical activities accurately. The role includes supervising direct care staff, adhering to safety policies, and contributing to a positive work environment. Nurses are encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development and collaborate effectively with team members.
