Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position in a healthcare organization. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care by following established nursing care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and engaging in patient education and discharge planning. The RN will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift; a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, including stepdown, intensive care unit (ICU), or long-term acute care (LTAC) experience; located within the service area of the healthcare organization

• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and initiates discharge planning from day one. Ensures accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Provides patient and family education, advocates for patient safety, and contributes to a positive team environment. Maintains communication with management regarding supplies and equipment needs.
