Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves overseeing patient care, conducting assessments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. The RN will ensure patient safety, provide education, and support discharge planning, all while adhering to facility policies and safety protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only), and a minimum of 0 years of bedside clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior bedside experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, documents assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner. Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission. Communicates patient status changes effectively to support continuity of care. Provides supervision and guidance to ancillary nursing staff, delegates appropriately, and participates in team-building activities to maintain a positive work environment. Assumes charge responsibilities after orientation and actively seeks professional development opportunities. Prioritizes patient activities and manages time effectively to meet patient needs.
