Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) role in a facility setting. This position involves managing adult patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-procedural care, post-myocardial infarction, and post-cardiac catheterization. The role requires providing specialized nursing care in a telemetry-based environment on night shift.

Job Details:

• Location: Facility setting with units including MedSurg Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of experience in a step down or telemetry unit, certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Experience handling patients with cardiac diagnoses, post-procedural care, and titration of common drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing post-CABG, post-cardiac cath, and post-MI patients; familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems; ability to interpret EKG strips.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, including assignments to MedSurg Telemetry and PCU units.
• Additional Information:
  • The unit includes utilization of nurse aides.
  • Telemetry monitors are available, and RNs must be able to interpret strips.
  • The orientation consists of an 8-hour hospital general orientation, followed by 12-hour shifts specific to units.
  • The position involves a rotation that includes every other holiday, with scheduling managed by the staffing office.
  • The assignment start date is scheduled for 09/08/2026, ending on 12/08/2026.
