Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a busy acute care hospital settings. This role involves providing specialized obstetric and neonatal care, with a focus on supporting mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaborative team engagement to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license; minimum 0 years of experience; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate; experience in labor and delivery or related obstetric units; proficiency with Epic charting system; ability to assist with high-risk deliveries, postpartum care, and neonatal procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring including external and internal methods, epidural and spinal anesthesia, cord care, and neonatal assessments.
  • Float: Float rotation to postpartum units may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be flexible to work 3 of the 5 recognized holidays and include all scheduling requests, such as specific days off, at the time of submittal. This role involves working in a high-volume environment, with daily census averaging 2-3 patients and approximately 15 visits per day. The hospital emphasizes sterile procedures, fetal monitoring, and neonatal resuscitation competencies.
